Good video but I don’t appreciate the blazblue slander. I’m gonna 🤓 for a minute and say that although yes blaz is superficially similar to guilty gear (such as certain characters being *very* similar to GG characters) the gameplay is actually really different, and most of the designs aren’t carbon copy’s. Obv taste in character design is a purely personal preference but I think the designs deserve a fair shot and I like pretty much all of them (besides mokoto, she should put on a jacket)

I honestly feel like I’m one of the only people that really enjoyed season three, specifically Isaac’s progression as a character mirrored with hector’s. It definitely isn’t perfect but I really love it for the ways it explored different sides of all the characters post-Dracula. Idk maybe I’m crazy for this take

Faust in Strive is incredibly ironic considering that the whole game embraced themes of wholesome and good to the point where we dont have a single pure evil edgy character - but they turned faust back into baldhead.

The setting of Nocturne is actually the real life location of the French counter-revolt (the War in Vendée), an uprising that lasted for years and actually has a really cool history. Because you see the way things were "supposed" to work in the old system was that nobles and the church would be good stewards, and obviously that's not what happened 99 times out of 100. Vendée was that lucky 100th customer! Well, "Lucky" was an overstatement, they were poor as shit! This meant that they were constantly at risk of losing their land, but the Church, being the Chruch: they would always forgive the debt and let them stay. The local nobles were similarly more humble & hardworking as they had little themselves, being as their income came from their peasants. They didn't spend much time away from home, they literally couldn't. They didn't toss them out either ...you wanna guess who did? The new middle class owners who swooped in once the Revolutionaries seized all the land! Whoops! Almost like every commoner isn't in the exact same situation as you?! Who ever heard of such a thing! So I have no fucking idea where this powdered wig has the francs to even afford his fucking house! I hope they address this in the next season? Because Maria learning there's shades of gray would be great for her character (and accepting that her mom & probably still alive aunt are vampires now)

Erzsebet Bathory is the proper spelling of the real life historical figure both characters are based on. She was a noblewoman and serial killer who literally bathed in the blood of virgin girls. Because Hungarian nobility of her era was literally above the law, she went unpunished for years until she literally ran out of peasant women and began murdering other nobles daughters: at which point they immured her in her own bedroom! (so look forward to a potential nod to that in the next season)

Season 4 rebounded hard and I strongly recommend it! We got our Trio reunion and then some!

I would not mind if characters like Faust were to meet various SCPs like the Plague Doctor. I mean, I might be talking a bit of crazy but I like to think that Guilty Gear is all about crazy.

I love Faust! I’m new to guilty gear. I work in healthcare, and I identify closely with Faust. On you thoughts of depression, his special with the wheelchair feels like a “even though I’m trying to help I screw up.” Finding the four leaf clover is a realization that you have purpose and can help, but you end up screwing up which causes the relapse.
